The Sun Is Also a Star movie starring Yara Shahidi and Charles Melton finally hits theaters this weekend on 5.17! We can’t wait to see one of our favorite YA books come to life on the big screen. Here are just a few of the scenes we are dying to see. . .
The Meet-Cute
First off, we can’t wait to see one of our favorite meet-cutes of all time: Daniel spots Natasha from afar. He sees the graphic on the back of her jacket and thinks it’s a sign. And it obviously is.
When Daniel Basically Saves Natasha’s Life
While walking down the street, Natasha almost gets hit by a car and Daniel saves her. This was the first time we swooned over him.
The Scene Where Daniel Convinces Natasha It’s Possible to Persuade Someone to Fall in Love with You . . . Scientifically
Then they discuss their key ingredients to falling in love and bicker adorably, and we just know that they already are. Falling in love, that is.
The Karaoke Scene
Daniel convinces Natasha to go with him to norebang, where karaoke dreams come true. We can’t wait to see Daniel’s tie loosening, cheesy pop star looks with eyebrow raises, some sweet dance moves, moves, and then kissing. Lots of kissing.
The Visit to the Hall of Meteorites
After they have that sort of fight and go their separate ways, Natasha heads to the American Museum of Natural History, where she visits her favorite meteor and thinks about love and the universe.
All of The Kisses
Daniel and Natasha’s chemistry is palpable. Add Charles Melton and Yara Shahidi into the mix, and that just means we’ll have to see the movie multiple times.
