What was the first romance novel you read?
Anna Godbersen’s Luxe Quartet comes to mind. It definitely paved the way for my love of young adult romance. I remember pitching it to my middle school friends as “historical Gossip Girl,” and thinking about it now, that series might’ve inspired my penchant for writing tight-knit friend groups and ensemble casts!
What romance are you currently reading?
PS: I Hate You by Lauren Connolly has been side-eyeing me from my nightstand, but I recently loved Catherine Doyle’s The Dagger and the Flame. My book was practically burning from the heat between the two lead characters!
What are your favorite tropes?
I am first and foremost a friends-to-lovers girl, but I also love forced proximity and grumpy-sunshine.
Who’s your book crush?
Étienne St. Clair from Stephanie Perkins’s Anna and the French Kiss has yet to be dethroned.
What inspires your writing?
My family, friends, travels, daydreams, and food. I admit I love a good dinner description.
What’s your favorite part of writing romance?
There is nothing like The Meet-Cute! It is a big day in my apartment when my characters banter for the first time. I consider dialogue my bread and butter.

“We should probably leave,” he whispered in my ear. “Go someplace else.”
“Where?” I asked, officially breathless. “There are like a million rooms here.”
“I don’t know,” he answered. “Let’s consult our maps and pick one.”
